AI Won’t Make You Successful.
The Obsession | Edition - 046
The number one pain point that I hear in the field when talking to business owners is that they have trouble finding quality talent. Not really anything about AI or implementation of AI.
If you are young in your field, here is how you can form the career you desire —
Don’t let efficiency become inefficient:
It can be easy to obsess about trying to automate something. I believe that is second to getting the task done. People are looking for someone who will show up every day, be coachable, and find answers.
What’s even better is if you have conviction and are able to add value through what you are passionate about. This takes time to find and develop, it takes experience.
When you are starting out, make sure you are able to get the work done. That might sound basic, but simply having a work ethic will make you stand out from the crowd.
Be Coachable:
AI can solve a lot of problems but it can’t make you coachable.
The best way to learn is to have volume and get feedback on how you are doing.
I believe that being open minded, trying the things I am told work, putting my own spin on them, and reporting back on how it worked has gotten me further that I ever thought it would.
It ultimately shows that you care about what you do. That you have some pride in the work that your name is tied to.
Build Your Brand:
This is being genuine and professional. I have found having an opinion and a work ethic that has a reputation will help you stand out in a positive manner.
Much more than being some sort of expert at a young age. Expertise comes with professional experience, which takes time.
Building your brand is essentially being yourself, obviously while being professional.
To Close:
I think that AI is an amazing tool, but I also see a large need for the above attributes that I think will take you farther than AI can.
